What’s New at Orange Center?
Dual Immersion Program
We are pleased to announce the approval, by the Orange Center Board of Trustees, of the introduction and implementation of a dual immersion program at Orange Center School District for the 2017-2018 school year. A dual immersion program at Orange Center means that students have the exciting opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate. The target language of the Orange Center program will be Spanish. We look forward to providing a rigorous and challenging program that encompasses an appreciation for education, culture, and community.
Local Control and Accountability Plan
We would like to invite all parents, community members, and staff to participate in the planning of programs and allocation of funds for the upcoming school year. We will host a parent/community meeting on May 8th at 5:30 p.m. in room 12. Orange Center Staff will have the opportunity to meet during the second week of May.
SBAC
Smarter Balanced Assessments will be administered April 25th through June 9th. It is very important for students to get plenty of rest and proper nutrition during this mentally demanding time of the school year.
